I’ve started a bit of running and in my usual style, going for it before planning for it. As a result, my legs ache, I have no concept of acceptable distance, but I’m doing it because in the words of Sophie Radcliffe “one day I will not be able to do this. Today is not that day.”
And in the spirit of my last issue about setting unrealistic goals, I’m going to run a half-marathon next year. Running as a sport doesn’t particularly excite me, but pushing myself to try new things and the journey I’ll take does.
So let’s see how this goes. Setting unrealistic goals is quite exciting!
