Get busy trying or get busy dying (in business). The more you experiment, the more you can learn and learning is THE differentiator in design. That’s why we user test nearly every week - everything up to that point has been a guess.
It’s not just about experimentation though, and as I’m learning, some of the key insights never get applied. Production teams need to work just as efficiently, disrupt within their organisation and deliver at scale. If anything, lead. 
In the last few years, I’ve found myself in many meetings that didn’t need to happen. Prioritisation meetings. Scoping meetings. Solution decision meetings.
A message to management:  Empower the people within your business to deliver quickly. Quality will follow. They know more about their thing than you do. Let them make the changes and profit.
